Gregory upgrades
24 January 2010

Hello - since there seems to be a little confusion over which versions of Gregory are upgradeable, I'll try and clear that up here!

In 2007 the new range of animated horses was released, called EquiReal. These were a new range and replaced, rather than updated, the earlier static models. The price was different, and the name EquiReal was used to try and differentiate between the two types. Although we kept the name and style of our first horse Gregory, the EquiReal model was a new product, not an update to an old one.

It is these animated, EquiReal horses that are updated now. The static models were an older line which was eventually dropped.

Re-release - Gregory
23 January 2010

Gregory was our very first horse - before they were even animated - and as time moves on, things change and progress, and other things get left behind. It doesn't seem fair to leave our foundation horse behind, since he was, if you like, the very beginning of Hoof It. In December 2007 he was re-released as the first of our sculpted and animated horses. Now, he's being re-released again - with a fresh look and all the latest features.

If you bought an animated Gregory before, you'll be able to get an upgrade by clicking the button on the sign by his vendor. Both English and Sidesaddle versions can be upgraded, as this model allows you to choose between either riding style. If you bought BOTH styles in the SAME colour, contact me and I will refund you the price of one of those horses. Buying one of each in different colours doesn't count, though, and upgrades for each can be claimed by clicking the button ;)

2008-09 Cross Country Championship Winners
1 January 2010

Happy new year everyone! And first off we have to congratulate the winners of our 2008-09 Cross Country Championships!

Everyone who placed first, second or third in one of our competitions this past year automatically qualified for the 2008-09 Championships - and here are the final winners!

First off, our fastest horse and rider combination this season was Darky Delacroix on Skippy! The Wonder Horse, with an incredible time of 01:18.33. Close behind in second was Bloodsong Termagant, screeching into second on Sonofogun with 01:36.90. And just after came Yariss Rau and Jugs, with a fantastic time of 01:46.36. Congratulations to our winners, and to everyone who entered - those were some FAST times!

The second championship was, of course, the battle for the Average Time title. This competition isn't about speed - it's about a calm, confident ride, keeping steady the whole way round, so it's not as easy as it may sound! So please give a big cheer to our winners this year, Taliesen Farina on Bree, who carried away first place with a time of 02:03.41 . Congrats! In second, once more is Bloodsong Termagant and Sonofogun with 01:58.61! And very close behind in third is Yariss Rau on Middleton, with a very respectable 01:58.45.

Thanks again to everyone who's entered this year - it's been great watching you and your horses compete and get better and better times! We'll be sure to make some changes to the course for 2010 to keep you all on your toes :)
