Getting started
open

Drag the box from your inventory to the ground and click on it to open. Copy the contents into your inventory and pick up the box.

Simply 'wear' the parts of the unpacked avatar and you're ready to go.

The avatar contains clothing and parts for the front end of the horse, and a box full of clothing and parts for the rear end of the horse, which can be given out to your friends. Rear parts are also available separately from a vendor in the avatar shed. The front parts and Pantomatic Horsimizer cannot be given to someone else and are only available to those who buy the avatar.

Using the avatar
HUD

The avatar is designed to be used with two people - however, you can use it and move around as normal without a second person. Simply wear the parts and the AO and move around as normal.

To use with two people, you will need to use the Pantomatic Horsimizer. This is a vehicle device that works in a similar fashion to the other avatar saddle systems sold at Hoof It, with two poseballs for the front and rear of the Pantomime Horse.

The front end of the horse (the person who bought the avatar) must sit on the large blue poseball. The rear of the horse must sit on the small pink poseball.

As with all similar systems, for best effect please turn your AO off when you use the Pantomatic Horsimizer.

If you receive the box of rear parts, either from a friend or from the vendor at Hoof It, unpack it in exactly the same way and wear the parts.

The Pantomatic Horsimizer
HUD

The Pantomatic Horsimizer is a vehicle system that allows two avatars to move together to complete the Panto Horse avatar.

The front of the Panto avatar must sit on the large blue poseball, and the rear must sit on the small pink poseball.

It is controlled using the standard keys for walking (or running), turning and jumping.

To remove an unwanted guest from your Pantomatic Horsimizer, type /1 throw.

To adjust your position on the Pantomatic Horsimizer, type /1 up or /1 down. The rear end avatar can also move themselves forwards and backwards by typing /1 fwd or /1 back.

The FIRST person to sit on the Pantomatic Horsimizer will have control. If the person in control wishes to give control to the other person, they must stand up and then sit back on - making them the 'second on'.

The Pantomatic Horsimizer will not move without the owner on board, so others can't run away with it!

As it is a vehicle, the Pantomatic Horsimizer must be rezzed and cannot be worn. If you wish to use it in a parcel where building is not permitted you will have to rez it elsewhere and 'ride it in'. As with all vehicles, sim border crossings can be risky - but the Pantomatic Horsimizer is copyable so if you do lose it, you'll always have another.

AO HUD
AO

This controls your animations.

  1. On
  2. Off
  3. Reset

Exactly what it says on the tin. You generally won't need to use these buttons, but sometimes it's useful to force a reset, or turn off your AO - for example, when you're using the Pantomatic Horsimizer.

Customisation
custom

As with all Hoof It avatars, the front parts of the Panto avatar are modifiable so you can customise them as you wish.

Since the rear parts are copy and transfer permissions, they are not modifiable.

If you modify your avatar and wish to modify the rear parts to match, please contact Erin Talamasca and request a set with modify permissions. These will be modify, transfer, but no copy, so you can still give them to someone else, but only the one copy.

Permissions
permissions

The permissions for the Panto avatar are different for the front and rear end parts. The front parts are fully mod and copy (with the exception of the scripts and animations which are copy only) - this allows you to customise them as you wish, and make backup copies in case anything goes wrong. Please, make a copy before you modify anything!

The rear parts are copyable and transferable, so you can give them out to as many people as you like, but they can't be modified.

If you'd like to give an avatar as a gift, gift certificates are available in the main Hoof It store, or you can use the 'buy as gift' feature for my products on Xstreet SL.

Refunds

Since the avatars are copyable I can't provide refunds - all sales are final.

If a part gets broken when you're making alterations, I can replace that piece, but it'd be really nice if I didn't have to so PLEASE make a copy of your av before you do anything to it!

Updates and Replacements
update

If updates are released they will be provided free of charge. Updates will be announced on this website and to the Hoof It group, which is free to join.

Updates to rear parts will not be replaceable via an update vendor, but free new versions can be collected from the standard vendor at the store.

FAQ

When I get on the Pantomatic Horsimizer I just sit down.
You must turn off your Animation Override before using this device.

My 'rear end' is burried and their hands are round my knees!
Avatars of different heights will sit in different positions on the Pantomatic Horsimizer. The front and rear avatars can each adjust their own position by using /1 up and /1 down. The rear avatar can also more forwards and backwards using /1 fwd and /1 back.

My jaw pokes out in front.

The jaw is attached to your mouth, so depending on your avatar shape, it's position may change. Just move it forward or backwards in edit mode until the back edge isn't sticking out any more.

Where's my HUD?!
If you don't wear your HUD in its default position, it may attach rotated so that you cannot see the front face and buttons. If you need to wear it elsewhere because it's clashing with another HUD attachment, please be aware that it may attach incorrectly and you'll have to rotate it in edit mode until you can see the front face.

The HUD gets in the way :(
Press the Hide button to minimise your HUD. Pressing it again will expand it.

None of my HUD buttons are working!
If the parcel you're in does not allow scripts to run, you may not be able to use some features of your avatar. Look for the 'no scripts' symbol at the top of your window.

I keep getting the message 'cannot create object'. How can I make it shut up?
If the parcel you're in does not allow for creation of objects and you have hoofprints turned on, you'll get this message when you move and your avatar tries to leave a hoofprint. Turn them off using the button on the bottom of your HUD.

Will you make me a custom colour / swishy tail / something else?
Sorry, but no. I just don't have the time to do custom work right now! If you need a hand fitting your avatar to your shape I'll try to help, but I can't take custom requests.
