Animated Grooming Kit
21 October 2007
I was asked recently if there was any chance I'd make a full grooming kit for yard decoration. Having far too many other things to do, I naturally jumped on the idea and put together this set of animated tools.
The set contains the kit box to place in the yard or carry, a mane comb, hoof pick, sponge, dandy brush, body brush, metal curry comb, packet of mints and a mint to 'feed'.
All the items, except the mint packet and curry comb (props only) contain animations that can be controlled with '/1 start' and '/1 stop', and hidden and shown with '/1 show' and '/1 hide'.
Sculpty Fences
10 October 2007
I'm not usually one for advertising other people's products, but I don't believe this guy is getting quite the mad props he deserves, so I'm making an exception.
Today, I replaced the fencing at Hoof It with DanielFox Abernathy's sculpted Paddock Fence pieces. Each piece is one prim, and covers 5m, and you get a set of inclined pieces covering 5 to 30 degrees, which I can tell you is necessary on bumpy land like Hoof It!
Previously, the fencing at Hoof It took up 90 prims - now, it's using 39 - and it's slightly longer, and still uses my 8 prim gate, though the set does include a single prim sculpty gate too. So I think you'll agree that this is a HUGE bonus for prim-conscious land owners who don't enjoy the look of flat alpha-textures.
Since horsey people need fencing, I thought you'd like to know about this great work. I should tell you that Daniel didn't ask me to advertise his product - I just think people should! I'm not being paid for this ;D
You can buy the fence set on SLEX here - check it out!
Horsey Halloween! Win a pony avatar!
6 October 2007
Autumn's here and we have a special, limited release pony avatar ready for Halloween!
Come down to the barn and grab your Bataloosa - deep purple with vivid violet eyes, his appy markings are in the shape of fluttering bats. The perfect spooky pony for All Hallows' Eve!
If you'd like to win a Bataloosa (or another pony av of your choice), send us your horsey Halloween snapshots and the best will walk away on four hooves!
The rules? Make it spooky, and make it Hoof It! Ridden horses or avatars, it doesn't matter - just get those scary snaps to Erin Talamasca!
