The winning entry, by popular vote, was 'Storm' from Bailey Cortes! Congratulations!
There were so many great entries, I couldn't decide myself - thank you all for your suggestions! Bailey wins a certificate for the horse of her choice, and because I liked so many the best runners-up all recieved a L$200 Hoof It certificate.
So again, thanks all for the great response - Storm will be arriving at the barn (probably) on Monday (I'm away for the weekend) - and a great big congratulations to Bailey!

New Gift Certificates

I've just put some new gift certificates up in the barn, for the values of 50, 75, 100 and 200 L$, to allow for clothes purchases and other stuff.
Single horse certificates are still available, but with a different look (and on the other table!).

Well, I did promise! The first set of clothing is now available - 'Hunter' - male, female, unisex - all look great on kids and adults alike. I've also released two lovely little fox head stock pins in gold and silver, which really finish the set off.
'Hunter' is available as a male or female sets containing all the clothes, or as individual pieces. Check 'em out!

Just a reminder that there's still over a week before the competition closes, so get those names in! We've had some fab entries so far, but remember there's no limit - so if you've already entered but have another idea, let me know!
Also, remember that although the preview photo shows a dapple grey pony, the final model will be available in all six standard colours - so try not to pick anything based on his/her colour alone.

Naming my horses is half the process of deciding their personality - often a name suggests itself before I've settled on the final model, and influences how it'll turn out. But for once my latest release (picture shown) hasn't 'named him (or her!) self', and so I thought it'd be a bit of fun to give Hoof It group members a sneak preview of our newest member and the chance to name him and win a copy for their creativeness!
So take a look at this little guy - he's a Shetland Pony and he really is tiny! You can either IM Erin Talamasca with your suggestions, or email me. If you suggest the name we choose, you'll win a Single Horse Gift Certificate, which you can swap for any one of our horses. This guy is designed for child and smaller avatars, but the competition is open to everyone, so you can choose your prize! (although I am also considering releasing this pony with an animation that adult avs can use, because it'll look really silly and you'll be riding with your knees somewhere around your ears…)
The closing date for submissions is Wednesday 28th March, which will give me time to prepare the little dude for sale. The name of the winner will be announced to the group (unless you really don't want me to), and there may well be runners-up prizes, if there are some really good suggestions! If nobody enters, I'll pick a name myself and we'll all pretend this competition never happened..!
But let's not! Get your suggestions to me before 28th March and you could be riding off on your new horse before the end of the month!
New Horse - Hawkwind

Please welcome our newest arrival, Hawkwind! To compliment our Western Quarterhorse Sirocco, Hawkwind is a fabulous galloping stallion decked out in Native American warpaint, eagle feathers and more.
The details on this guy are fantastic, so come down to the barn to say hello - you won't be disappointed!
