11 January 2009
From the 17th January until the end of the month, Hoof It is hosting the Winter Creators' Market.
This is a chance for builders, scripters, artists and other creative folk to showcase and sell their equestrian products for free.
It doesn't matter if you've never sold a product before or you already have a thriving business - everyone is welcome, but we particularly encourage those who don't have vendor space elsewhere, since this is a free event designed to give people a chance to get their work seen.
If you'd like to take part, please send a notecard to me (Erin Talamasca) to let me know you're interested - it would be useful if you could let me know a little about the product(s) you want to sell and how many prims you'll need for your vendor and/or display, too.
Now Hiring!
10 January 2009
With over 500 horse-mad members, the Hoof It group should be a thriving hub of equestrian activity and chat - but it's more than I can manage alone! I'm looking for enthusiastic, fun-loving people to join me and help really bring our communtiy together.
If you think you'd enjoy planning, organising and hosting equestrian events, or you think you could bring people to the livery yard and create a great fun community, then get in touch. Applications close at the end of this week (Sunday 18th January). If you're interested, please send me a notecard including:
- your name
- whether you're applying to be an events manager or livery yard manager
- why you want to be involved
- what you think you can bring to the role
- and what (if any, although not necessary!) previous experience you have had in similar positions.
Happy Christmas
1 January 2009
Wishing you all a merry Christmas a happy New Year.
If you didn't get your 2008 snow globe, be sure to check the group past messages and grab one!
December XC Competition Winners
1 January 2009
Happy 2009, everyone! I hope you had a fantastic Christmas (or whatever you did!) and an equally brilliant New Year.
Entries closed for the December XC speed trials and the winners are in - congratualtions to Yariss Rau who took first place (and third last month for that matter..!), closely followed by Findhorn McLaglen in second, with Whiteflame Khandr chasing them for third. Well done - and thanks again for taking part!
You can see the full results here.
This month it's another average time competition, so the prizes are a little higher (and there's less chance of certain people blasting the course on snails) *raises an eyebrow*..! For rules on that check the rules page. Information about this competition can be found here and you can check the scores as they come in here. Enjoy!
